Scan anything.
Know what matters.

Scan any food, drink, supplement, cosmetic, or pet product -- by barcode, or with an AI photo of the label, the wine bottle, even the plate. Built for the whole household

Everyone in your home,
checked at once.

One scan, a clear answer for every person and every pet. What2Know flags allergens and additives, and the things a label never spells out -- like a drink that is fine for the grown-ups but not the kids, or an ingredient that is toxic to your dog.

Questions, answered

Frequently asked.

Is What2Know free?

Yes. The app is free to download, barcode scanning is free and unlimited, and you need no account to try it. AI photo scans (ingredient labels, wine labels, meals) include a free monthly allowance; an optional Premium subscription unlocks unlimited AI scans, unlimited household profiles, and the full toolkit.

Does What2Know work for pets?

Yes. Add your dog or cat as a household profile and every scan is checked for them too -- ingredients like chocolate, onion, garlic, xylitol, and alcohol are flagged using published animal-safety sources such as ASPCA Animal Poison Control. Detection only, not a safety guarantee: always check the physical label.

What can I scan?

Barcodes on food, drinks, supplements, cosmetics, and pet products -- plus AI photo scans of ingredient labels, wine labels, and even a plate of food for an honest calorie range.

How does What2Know decide its verdicts?

Deterministic checks against published authorities -- FDA major food allergens, ASPCA animal-safety lists, Nutri-Score, the NOVA processing classification, and carcinogen and additive watch-lists -- with the sources cited right at each claim. What2Know is an informational tool, not a medical device, and never replaces advice from your doctor or veterinarian.

What happens to my scan photos?

Photos are used only to generate your result and are never stored by the app or used to train AI. Scanning also never reads your location -- the deals region is a setting you choose.

Where can I get What2Know?

What2Know is available on the Apple App Store for iPhone and on Google Play for Android.
